Open Christmas is a charity organisation that is run to give a Christmas lunch to those in the community to those that otherwise wouldn’t have a Christmas celebration. Volunteers serve meals over 4 days and the event has been running since 1997.
For 2013, we created a site that outlined the aims of Thanet Open Christmas and allowed volunteers to see where and when they could serve and also to sign up for particular sessions. To invite people to the event, we made a flyer to be handed out as an invitation to Open Christmas, for anyone to attend.
